Free Chiropractic Care for Returning Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans

Free Chiropractic Care for Returning Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans

Doctors of chiropractic from around the United States have answered the call to participate in a new initiative aimed at supporting America’s newest returning veterans.

This new generation of veterans has been subjected to a level of stress and trauma that has not been seen in living memory. The 24-hour stress, the nature of injuries, the length of deployments and the uncertainties of returning to civilian life all contribute to the physical, practical and financial, mental and spiritual
burdens returning veterans must face.

The statistics are staggering, with nearly 10,000 amputees, more than 18,000 brain injuries, approaching 50,000 wounded in all categories of physical injury, thousands with emotional and psychiatric damage, and the numbers continue to mount.

Back and spinal problems represent one of the leading causes of lost time in action and are the leading cause of disability retirements from the military.

Out of a desire to serve and to fill in a vitally important health care gap, Dr. Marino has extended an offer of care for one full year for any US military veteran returning from overseas deployment in Afghanistan and Iraq, at no charge.

The impact of war on the human body and soul has been given much serious consideration over the years by the chiropractic profession. Dr. Marino believes that through the power of chiropractic care, we can help returning veterans strive to recover and restore their lives physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

All returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan are eligible to receive this service with presentation of their service certificate.

Please feel free to forward this information to any returning veterans you may know. We appreciate your assistance in "spreading the word" about this program and we look forward to serving those who have
served us so courageously. Thank you.

December a Bust for my Blog

Well December was a bust for me in NYC and writing on my blog. The first weekend it was so cold with high winds I did not even step foot out of my apartment. The second week I had some minor surgery so we did not even go into the city. Last weekend we went into the city (see my post for Dec. 18th - Oh Christmas tree). This weekend is Christmas, and since my family lives on Long Island once again I will miss another weekend in New York City. We are planning to go in for New Years weekend so stay tuned.

Oh Christmas Tree

We walked all the way from 37th & 10th to get those wonderful "Holiday Cocktails" at the Madison Club Bar at the Roosevelt hotel to be told "What holiday drinks"? So we had to suffer (NOT) and have some Chocolate Martini's instead, and may I say WAY to many Chocolate Martini's. "Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas tree - how will we find you since we drank one to many!"

Well we found the tree. No matter what age you are this tree is the best and most beautiful!
